It has been a weird few days. Settling into a cozy bed in a freezing house and watching Married at First Sight.
Glass of wine in hand after almost getting into a serious car wreck coming home from work. It was raining and I lost control of the car. I was able to drive off and finish the last hour of my drive. The universe has other plans. It is going to make me live a little longer. (More about this in the next post, sorry)
But one of the couples on the show just seemed to talk at each other. I didn’t want to watch that train wreck, but one of them made a point about how the other experienced her.
Both had issues with emotional vulnerability and sharing themselves, but I found that phrase interesting.
How do people experience me? I try to be kind and open, but I know I can be shy and closed off with some people.
I wish I knew how others see me.
If I had known some truths about that with friends and past partners, maybe I could have been more open with Daddy. He experienced a different me that was me, too, but the time in my life he met me was a time when insecurity from childhood had bubbled up in bad ways.
