Only the Strong Survive

I was watching Dazed and Confused last night, sorry. This isn’t even one of the best lines. So many good ones.

But alright, alright, alright, let’s get to the point.

I saw a prompt that said give advice. How hard is it to think of the one thing that stands out?

As a kid, I went through life thinking that I wouldn’t be given anything I couldn’t handle. I was the strong one. And as a kid, it was god that was the giver. Not the universe or anything unknown. I don’t believe in believing in one thing anymore. I don’t think that there is a certain group of people that are right and everyone else has to be wrong. Sorry Baptists.

As an adult, I had a friend who used to say if it ain’t fun, don’t do it.

We sometimes have to be the strong one. Sometimes things are thrown at us that we can’t ignore; we just have to get through them and then fill our lives with as much of the fun stuff as we can.

That is the advice I would give. Fill your life with the good stuff as much as you can. It will be over soon enough.
