Polar Opposites

They say opposites attract, but partners can be attracted to opposites.

One observation I have being poly is the trend of my partners to pick other partners that are the polar opposite of me.

I have light hair, freckles, and am pretty pail. Many of my metas have been very tan with dark hair and complexions.

I am very much one of those down to earth types. I am soft spoken and shy, very low key to the point that people think I don’t care (until they see me really care about something). I am an analytical thinker and problem solver so in my head a lot. As you can guess, many of my metas have been very passionate personality wise. I would say fiery and explosive at times. When they care, they really show it and they care about of lot of things.

This surprised me at first and even concerned me. I was thinking what does that say about their attraction to me? Do they like me even if they can like people with such opposing personalities?

Yes, they can.

This is one of the huge benefits of polyamory. You can be with people that hit on different parts of you. You do not have to have a type. This makes it easier for you to find people that you want to share things with. Not every partner has to be into the same things.
