Choices

I was sorting through emails the other day and two messages came through about how it was time to sit back and wait.

That seems like a safe bet to send something like that this time of year when many of us get to do just that. We are off of school and work and can just take a few days to do nothing.

I worry a lot about choices, but the messages said now is not the time for that.

But I am afraid what I could lose if I continue to sit back and do nothing. Sit here and let others decide for me.

I know that simple decisions can change things drastically. That is my fear right now at this crossroads. What things am I choosing for myself by not choosing anything? By letting people choose for me?

  1. Choices are the things that shape our lives. What people may identify as “bad” choices, are actually the lessons we learn as we move forward toward making better choices. The mantra to remember, or maybe adopt, Lisa, is the only “bad” choice you will ever make, is not making a choice. In allowing others to make choices for you, you surrender control of the path to your own destiny.

IMO, I would much rather learn from, correct, and understand my failures, than to be lead into another’s abyss of uncontrollable chaos.
