I wrote something on Fet today. I am hoping it doesn’t get too much of the wrong type of attention. I already blocked one person.
But I have seen a lot of writing there about being Jane Doe. It can be both sad and inspiring to read.
We all know a Jane Doe.
I do not consider myself to be her, but I know more of them than I want to know in my family and among my close friends.
It made me think about how so many times the people that are there to protect you from evil are the worst sort of evil in your life. It is not always an obvious evil. The abuse is not always clear until you are looking on the other side of it.
Growing up, the abuse was more emotional; at least that was the more devastating part, the part that takes longer to heal from.
The attention and the other things that don’t belong to a young girl that happened were easier to blow off. That is what society has taught us. We are here for that. We don’t belong to ourselves. That is how I was raised. The weirder part was growing up with knowledge of sex and relationships as a young girl. Knowing and experiencing those things made me feel more like an adult, so much so that when I tried to tell my mother about the evil that was in the man she was going to marry, she blew me off. I was a kid; I didn’t like change, and she was tired of being alone and not having support. I hated being right in that moment and not being heard.
There are too many people who are not protected; they are used, even in protection.
For me, kink is a way to take back some of that power, but people still see submissives as powerless. They still see us as a body for use for their pleasure. I promise I am not doing anything with anyone that doesn’t bring me pleasure in some way. That is what it is about. Pleasure of the mind more than the body, but it is still my pleasure to have.
We are not weak. We are not here just for someone to take from. We will be doing the taking as well.
