What is Kink?

Someone asked me an anonymous question the other day about what I thought kink was. I don’t know that I really answered in the right way.

I recognize my bias in a lot of the answer.

But starting out, I did talk about how that shifts as society shifts. The point of the word was to categorize any activities that were abnormal or deviations from the idea that sex was meant for two people to procreate.

We as a society have definitively opened up from that point. Women are actually allowed to take pleasure from it and older women are pursued for their experience and ability to know how to take pleasure from it.

One of the points I made was about this shift and how some have seen in the past that things like blow jobs and anal were kinky and I did not feel they were out of the norm anymore.

But I think this is where I was wrong in a way and my bias kicked in.

For me that can be correct and incorrect at the same time. These things by themselves do not illicit a definition of kink for me, but they could certainly be part of a kinky experience.

This is because for me, sex happens in the mind. The kink aspects are all a psychological game that is played.

Giving my body and mind to someone in a way that allows them to take full control is the kink aspect. They decide what to do with it.
