It’s Father’s Day

Sitting on a patio, sipping a whiskey drink, eating shrimp, and listening to a one man band tell me not to worry about a thing.

I guess I won’t.

For some of us, Father’s Day is hard, but I have had all kinds of good daddy’s over the years to fill that void and erase the bad memories.

I am actually pretty lucky to have a good baby daddy and coparent too. We may not always be romantically connected, but he does his best to provide love and support to his kids. I have been privileged most of my adult life because of him.

Sometimes the family you choose is enough.
