So, obviously, I have an account on Fet. It is somewhat locked down. I do not allow just anyone to message me there, and I very rarely entertain the idea of going off the platform to chat.
I have in the past, and it hasn’t always turned out nicely. But sometimes there are exceptions.
What I find interesting is that those who think they are the exception are usually not.
My profile can be confusing, but it really doesn’t matter. Those non-exceptions do not read profiles. They send friend requests or try to ask you to dm them when they find they can’t dm you.
That is not to say there are no exceptions, but they know who they are. They breeze into your life like they own the place, and honestly, they could if they would just ask.
