I was thinking about this today. I love that feeling of connection and trust. When I have it, I would do anything (maybe not everything).
When I do not feel that connection, it is hard to say yes.
And trust is built in how people react to your no. I see a lot of times people try to push you into that ‘yes,’ but it is so much better to get that ‘yes’ with enthusiasm.
Just as I want someone to be sure of me, you should want someone to be sure of you.
And when you are both sure, that is the best feeling. That is where trust lives when you communicate that.
That is where exploration can happen. Both of you can be seen. Both of you can try new things. Negotiate what you want. Compromise. Dive deep into things that you may not be able to share in the light of day.
Trust opens up doors that are usually well hidden.
