“Before you act, listen.
Before you read, think.
Before you spend, earn.
Before you criticize, wait.
Before you pray, forgive.
Before you quit, try.”― Ernest Hemingway
I want to be like Hemingway. I want a cool breeze, a stiff drink, and words flowing out of my head and onto paper. Words that have meaning.
He had solitude as well, and I have words brewing in my head now that contradict my need for solitude, but sometimes I do need it. I imagine myself wanting it. Pure bliss.
