One of the writings from my book, Whispers of Surrender. I love the idea of being Collared, but it is not just about the piece of jewelry. I want to belong to someone in that way. I want to feel that ownership. It is like being marked as theirs. It takes time, though, to build that connection and for me to feel so connected to someone that I would agree to work on taking that step. We both have to be the right fit for each other. It can be hard to keep myself from feeling that NRE or sub-frenzy and agreeing to anything from the start.
Take the time to learn each other and learn what you want and need out of a dynamic. As a sub, you can negotiate that.
